ABOUT FLOATING
All you need to know about this revolutionary treatment.
WHAT IS FLOATATION THERAPY?
Floatation therapy, also referred to as restricted environmental stimulation therapy (REST), is a concept that was introduced and studied by Dr John C Lilly in the mid-1950s. He came across this life-changing idea by questioning what the mental effects would be if you remove external stimulation. With that great impulse, sensory deprivation therapy was born.
The concept came back into mainstream circles and is well known today as floatation therapy.
Neuro Float is one of the first few floatation companies in South Africa. We provide the sensory deprivation experience through our custom-created Floatation Pods. The identical pods are unilluminated, soundproof tanks with high Epsom salt content, filled with water set at skin temperature.

Combined, these elements allow you to float effortlessly, disconnecting you from the external world. This separation relaxes your nervous system, bringing the mind-body connection back in balance.
IT'S NOT THE ONLY SOLUTION,
BUT IT IS, BY FAR, ONE OF THE BEST!
Sure, supplements can be taken to help restore magnesium levels, but they’re not easily digested in the gut due to internal acids, and each person’s reaction to supplements varies. The heat, in combination with Epsom salts in the pod, allows the skin to perspire, which removes toxins through the pores and allows the minerals in through those very same pores.
The water’s ideal temperature promotes blood circulation, reduces swelling and inflammation and fights joint pain. Add Epsom salt to the equation and you have the perfect therapy to restore your natural health.
