Floating can really help to facilitate and enhance meditation for newcomers, as well as benefit those who meditate frequently.

But why and how does it work? To answer this question, we look at five important factors.
Time
It's important to choose the right time to mediate. In the morning, when the mind is quiet and hopefully fresh, it sets a calm and productive tone for the rest of the day. Meditation after work, however, can also be very beneficial, especially if your job is physically demanding or mentally challenging. Meditating after 8 pm, however, will alter sleep, according to Dr. Andrew Huberman – a neuroscientist and tenured professor of neurobiology and ophthalmology at Stanford University. He recently shared that a 13-minute daily meditation significantly improves focus, as shown by peer-reviewed work from Suzuki Lab at New York University.
WE'RE OPEN FROM 8 AM TO 8 PM, THE IDEAL MEDITATION WINDOW.
Place
It's easier, especially in the beginning, to meditate in a clean, tidy and quiet space with minimal stimuli and distractions.
OUR FLOATING STUDIO AND PODS ARE ALL OF THE ABOVE
Temperature
Heat and cold can be uncomfortable and therefore distracting. Luckily the water in our floatation pods is heated to outer skin temperature so that eventually you don't, or barely, notice it. That means one less 'distraction' for your mind to acknowledge or process, making meditation easier.
WE SET OUR WATER BETWEEN 34.5 and 36.5 DEGREES CELCIUS
Position
While many believe sitting is the optimal position, one can also stand, walk or lie down when meditating. For many, lying down is the most natural and effective way to meditate.
THE LACK OF GRAVITY IN OUR PODS FURTHER ENHANCES THE HORIZONTAL EXPERIENCE
Mindset
Many will agree that it's hard to switch off one's mind or focus on one thing at a time. It's no wonder, with the abundance of stimuli we're bombarded with every day. Floating can help by blocking out external distractions.
IN THE POD IT CAN BE EASIER TO NOTICE SENSATIONS AND FOCUS ON YOUR THOUGHTS
Conclusion
If you're new to meditation, there are many types and apps to consider. Headspace and Waking Up are two of them. You can connect via the pod's Bluetooth to listen to their content during your float (if you're a subscriber) or any other audio you have access to. We can also recommend and play audio for the start, end, or whole duration of your float.
